Mr. Robert Doucette ex President of the Metis Nation in Saskatchewan says Métis people must also be included in the Sixties Scoop settlement from federal government. Something to fight for and for all Métis that attended résidential school or placed in orphanage all across Canada must be included in the 60s scoops . Many children of Duplessis era in the province of Québec where unwanted Métis babies, father by non native father, were taken away from non maried Métis or First Nation woman .

Contrary to the Métis National Council President Clement Chartier who spent more time to discredit Mr Doucette for supporting La Nation Métis au Québec than taking care of this situation, Mr Doucette is now acting as a real leader for the Métis People of la Nation Métis all across Canada that suffered the residential school and orphanage system of the 1950s 1960s and 1970s and were kept away from this reconciliation process regardless of their political association or provincial location.
